Price details

The advantage of having a custom handmade guitar is that I can follow your personal specifications. I can usually make any model in a left-handed version. I relish the challenge of building a true bespoke guitar and although many examples of styles and pricing are provided below, any individual guitar will attract its own price structure and overall cost. We can even discuss the design for a guitar built to a particular budget. Although based in the UK I can consider orders from anywhere in the world, subject to shipping costs and local regulations.

The following price details relate only to guitars ordered directly from me. My guitars are also stocked by dealers, including those listed below, and you should expect the cost of models supplied by them to be higher.

Regular stockists are:
The Blackburn Guitar Studio
Forsyth Brothers Ltd. Manchester
Kent Guitar Classics
The Spanish Guitar Centre, Bristol
The Spanish Guitar Centre, London (NOT related to the Bristol company of the same name)
Custom Guitar Boutique (North America)

Concert Guitar ~ from as little as £2,000.00

Spruce or Cedar front, Indian Rosewood back and sides, one piece neck in Cedrella or Mahogany. Ebony fingerboard, contrast bindings in Ebony or Maple. German tuners. Central back inlay. Purfling all surfaces. 19 frets £2,000.00

Alternatives

There is NOT normally a surcharge for building a guitar to order as left-handed

For spliced head and neck and carved fascia add £150.00

Some special, exclusive or fine, rarer timbers will attract a surcharge up to £400.00
For other highly figured back and side timbers e.g. Quilted Mahogany add £150.00
(as available ~ please enquire)

For higher quality tuners, I usually recommend models from the Alessi range.
The additional cost would depend upon the type chosen.

For 20th fret add £50.00

Aranjuez Model

By reference to the above options, it can be seen that for me to recreate the Aranjuez competition model, the total cost would amount to approximately £3,000.00

Flamenco Guitar ~ from £1900.00

Plain Maple back and sides and very lightly built ~ otherwise as Concert Guitar £1900.00

Golpeodores fitted (clear, white and black available)

Genuine Cypress back and sides add £50.00

Traditional wooden tuning peghead add £50.00
My traditional peghead design is uniquely arranged so that conversion to machine heads can be perfectly completed at a later date, if required.

Repairs

From time-to-time, if other commitments allow, I can be imposed upon to quote for repairs to a variety of stringed instruments but, apart from any repairs necessary to guitars made by me, this depends on the type of repair and the time I have available.
